This Privacy Policy explains how FocusCells handles information when you use the mobile application.

1. Short Summary

FocusCells is a Schulte table training app for focus, reaction speed, visual scanning, and speed-reading practice. The current version is designed to work without an account, advertising, social features, cloud sync, or third-party analytics SDKs.

In the current version:

If future versions add accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, support forms, iCloud sync, or any third-party SDK that collects data beyond what is described here, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before release.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information processed by the app

The current version of FocusCells does not require users to provide personal information.

The app may process training-related information on the user’s device, such as:

This information is used to operate the app experience and display progress to the user. In the current version, it is not uploaded to our servers.

2.2 Information users choose to send us

If a user contacts us by email or another support channel outside the app, we may receive the information they choose to provide, such as an email address, device details, screenshots, or a support message. We use that information only to respond to the request, troubleshoot issues, improve the product, or comply with legal obligations.

2.3 Apple-provided diagnostics and App Store information

Apple may provide developers with crash reports, diagnostics, sales, usage, subscription, refund, or app analytics information through Apple developer tools, StoreKit, or App Store Connect, depending on the user’s device settings, purchase activity, and Apple’s policies. We use this information, if available, to understand app stability, operate subscriptions, restore purchases, review app performance, and improve FocusCells. Apple processes this information under its own terms and privacy practices.

2.4 Purchase and subscription information

FocusCells Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple handles payment processing, billing, subscription management, cancellation, and refunds.

We do not collect or store payment card numbers, bank account details, or Apple ID passwords. The app may receive limited StoreKit information from Apple, such as whether a FocusCells Pro subscription entitlement is active, pending, expired, revoked, or available to restore. This information is used to unlock paid features and provide the purchase and restore experience.

3. Information We Do Not Collect Through the App

In the current version, FocusCells does not collect through the app:

4. How We Use Information

Because the current app is designed to avoid server-side collection of personal data through the app, many privacy obligations may be limited in practice. Users may contact us at devxiu6@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.

6. Children’s Privacy

FocusCells is not submitted as a Kids Category app and is not intended to collect personal information from children.

Beginner mode is a training experience setting with a simpler difficulty range and softer feedback. It is not a child account, parental control system, school record system, or educational assessment.

Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through a support channel, contact us at devxiu6@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information.

We do not share local training data with advertisers or data brokers.

We may share limited information only in these situations:

8. International Transfers

The current app is designed to process training information on the user’s device. If users contact us or if Apple provides diagnostics or developer analytics, information may be processed in the country where we, Apple, or our service providers operate.

9. Data Retention

Training settings and session information are processed on the user’s device. The current version does not upload training records to our servers. Local app information may be reset when the app is deleted, reinstalled, or when the operating system removes app data.

Support communications may be kept for as long as needed to respond to the request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations.

10. User Choices and Rights

Depending on where users live, they may have privacy rights such as:

Because FocusCells currently does not require an account and does not upload training records to us, we may not be able to identify a user or access training information stored only on their device.

To make a privacy request, contact: devxiu6@gmail.com.

11. California Privacy Notice

For California residents, we currently do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We also do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the app.

If FocusCells becomes subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, this notice will be updated to include required categories of personal information, sources, purposes, disclosures, retention periods, and methods for submitting requests.

12. Cookies and Tracking

The current mobile app does not use cookies.

The current mobile app does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking technologies.

If a website is created for FocusCells, that website may need a separate cookie notice depending on its tracking and analytics tools.

13. Security

We design FocusCells to minimize privacy risk by avoiding unnecessary collection of personal information. Local app data is protected by the security controls of the user’s device and operating system.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Users should keep their device updated and protected with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID where available.

14. Third-Party Services

The current app does not include third-party advertising, third-party analytics, account login, or cloud sync.

FocusCells uses Apple’s StoreKit and App Store systems for optional in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions. Apple handles payment processing, billing, cancellation, refunds, and subscription management under Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

If future versions include third-party services, this policy will be updated to identify the relevant categories of providers and the purposes for which they process information.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where required, provide additional notice through the app, App Store listing, website, or other appropriate method.

Users should review this policy periodically.
